Images have been released of Alexander McQueen’s latest (and final) collection for Pre-Fall 2010. The look is unmistakably McQueen- throughly modern, peppered with the Victorian flavour that’s been a theme in recent collections from the late designer. Maybe it’s the fact that this is the final offering, but this is without a doubt my favorite collection for Fall 2010. The space-age print juxtaposed with the conservative cut of every piece just feel so right now. Nothing is extreme, yet there is absolutely nothing to be desired aesthetically- it’s bang on. Always inspirational (who knew a knee-length leather trench could actually be chic?!) we are left with a sense of yearning for what the future may have held for the irreplaceable designer. May be rest in peace.
Below are my favorites. Visit Refinery 29 for the full collection.
