JUMPSUITS: Nearly every show thus far has featured some variation on the jumpsuit. I say any piece that grants a complete outfit is worth the invest.
DRAPING: Yes I WILL have another! Hallelujah ladies, as when it come to dressing, draping is this year’s answer to last year’s body-con. Fashionistas everywhere are sighing a collective relief for the new crop of party frocks, which will not only enable us to exhale comfortably, but with added wriggle-room may be the chief enabler at this year’s soires. Cheers to that!
EQUESTRIAN BELTS: When Mary Kate Olsen rocked this look a few weeks back, there was no doubt that it was sure to be note-worthly for 2010. Clean and classic, this simple leather belt manages to anchor not only a heavy-duty outerwear, but the most delicate of dresses with edgy sophistication.
LINGERIE: As I mentioned last month, the unmentionables are on the forefront this year, which was only re-enforced during the course of this week. At Preen (my fav), the look was unapologetic with the bra taking centre stage, resulting in the most gorgeous confection- oh la la.
EMBELLISHED FOREARMS: It appears that designers are finally tiring of the embellished shoulder (80’s, I shed a little tear for you…) with focus moving south to the forearm and beyond, as sleeves, cuffs and gloves were the main focus in many shows.
More to come….
